Maria Maçães Executive MBA
Customer Success Leader, leveraging a Hospitality Sales & Operations Background to Drive Business Expansions
Maria is a customer-centric Hospitality Leader with 10+ years directing sales and operations for esteemed cultural institutions, luxury hotels, and tourism boards. Using a consultative sales approach, she guides customers to make informed decisions while earning their trust and amplifying brand visibility. At PBS, she has acquired a 360-degree view of business activity including how to assemble and scale core departments.
Maria previously studied at Les Roches Marbella, an esteemed Swiss Hospitality school in Southern Spain, where she became fluent in Spanish and sharpened her soft skills in a fast-paced international setting. Afterward, she continued this trajectory by working at hotels in Greece and the UK. Upon returning to Portugal, she operationalized core activities for NAU Hotels' 10 locations nationwide. Her career accelerated here over nine years. Then, she was recruited to Fundação de Serralves, where she currently generates revenue for the museum with promotions targeting Porto’s visitors, leveraging partnerships with various tourism boards and agencies.
Now, she will merge her hospitality background and lessons gained from the Executive MBA to pursue sales & leadership roles in other sectors where her ability to form strong customer relationships would be invaluable.
