Inês Sousa International MBA
EMPATHETIC, METICULOUS PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONAL WITH AN UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO HELPING PEOPLE
As a nurse at prominent public hospitals in Portugal, Inês navigated public health crises such as the pandemic with a straightforward approach that balanced reason with emotional regulation. She brought a unique perspective to the International MBA, where she expanded her horizons beyond the hospital setting. She is now seeking new professional challenges where she can positively impact her surroundings.
At Lisbon Hospital Center and Santo António University Hospital Center, Inês led transformative projects such as Safe Patient Discharge and Fall Prevention. These initiatives improved patient outcomes, enhanced both hospitals’ internal processes, and sharpened her leadership acumen and project management abilities. As an essential worker during the pandemic, she rose to the occasion when Portugal’s hospitals were overwhelmed, understaffed, and on the verge of collapse. Repeatedly working 70+ hour weeks to serve the greater good was a taxing experience that makes any
other challenge she could ever face pale in comparison.
Her ability to navigate complex environments, drive impactful projects, and foster meaningful relationships reflect her professionalism and values of integrity, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
