Cybersecurity Executive, future-proofing clients’ operations

Jose is a Cybersecurity & Emerging Technology Consultant with 20+ years of experience steering transformations for the Olympic Committee, Prada, Carnival Group, YOOX Net-a-Porter Group, the governments of Italy, Portugal, and Switzerland, as well as other household name brands and institutions.

Currently, he is the founder of Switch Digital, a fast-growing cloud solutions and cybersecurity consulting firm. He joined Porto Business School’s Executive MBA and its Cybersecurity Management Postgraduate Program at an opportune moment to gain the skills required to evolve his firm into a more renowned provider capable of serving clients’ evolving needs while generating profit and investing in and retaining talent. His core strengths are his ability to continuously learn and adapt to disruptive technologies, particularly in AI, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. This mindset has allowed him to rise to the occasion and drive industry trends rather than react to them while futureproofing his clients’ operations.

As a mentor for various startups through IAPMEI, he has also contributed to nurturing innovative ideas and fostering entrepreneurship. Supporting his community is one of José’s top priorities. Through his involvement in the Parish Assembly, his position on the board of the General Assembly of FC Paços de Ferreira, and his contributions at the municipal level, he focuses on fostering innovative ideas and advocating for a better future. Guided by a commitment to fairness and transparency, José works quietly yet effectively to make a meaningful difference in his community.
He had an invaluable experience living in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, where he gained exposure to foreign entrepreneurial cultures during travels across the country. He returned to Portugal full of motivation sparked by his journey.
Now his goal is to continue scaling his business, acquire more coveted clients, and engage further in local politics.
