Leonardo has assembled high-performing teams responsible for opening new branches, managing warehouses, and continuously improving operations, focusing on achieving significant cost savings at every opportunity. He started his career as a Junior Accountant at Aleliv - Gabinete de Contabilidade and handled accounting for a diverse portfolio of SMEs, keeping meticulous financial records and enforcing regulatory compliance.
Transitioning to the role of Assistant Operations Manager at Grupo Visabeira, in the company Viatel, he became involved in managing warehouse operations for the construction, maintenance, and installation of telecommunications networks in Castelo Branco. Working on a team of 50+, successfully coordinated logistics and operations, fostering strong relationships with key clients such as MEO and NOS, and retaining their business long-term.
Later, at Constructel France, Grupo Visabeira’s international group, Leonardo served as Assistant Operations Manager in various locations, including Brest in Brittany and Pointe-à- Pitre Guadeloupe, a Caribbean agency, where he oversaw warehouse operations and equipped local collaborators with best practices. His cross-cultural communication skills, flexibility, and leadership acumen rapidly expanded the company.
He harmonized the vision of 250+ stakeholders, including their main client Orange, to improve and modernize the region’s telecommunications infrastructure. In his most recent role, as the group decided to expand the business in a new country, Leonardo integrated Constructel Belgium in the Brussels Metropolitan Area and played a pivotal role in opening a new branch while overseeing the construction of a major fiber optic network.
After the MBA from Porto Business School, Leonardo intends to apply lessons from his career thus far in a role focused on steering scalable strategies with a more long-term vision.
